Who We Are

The company was formed in 1995 as an out-growth of the owners career in mapping and charting. The offices are located in Fulton, Maryland, and as mentioned; there is a retail outlet in the antique district of Frederick, Maryland. Cartographic Associates (CA) is one of the leading antique map dealers in the Washington – Baltimore area. We offer the seasoned collector, as well as the first time antique map purchaser; a wide variety of rare and unusual maps, prints, and globes from the 16th to 19th century. Our ever changing inventory is updated monthly and reflects the on-line diverse offerings from the Americas to Europe and Asia. As a clearing house, most of our maps and prints are on consignment from persons wanting to sell their cartographic items, our overhead is low, thus our prices are more than competitive compared to most dealers.
