This large map of Asia includes the islands of East Indies. The title indicates the map is based on cartography of De Lisle, with a similar treatment of Terra Yedo, Japan, and Terre de la Compagnie. Of note, Lotter has excluded the northern coastline of Asia. The elaborate title cartouche features merchants exhibiting the wealth of the Orient. The map features gilt highlights along its border. The condition is rated Excellent [see our rating criteria on the Home Page] with several tiny holes noted and there is a short split near the centerfold, measures 1.5″. There is evidence of paper tape along the maps edges on the verso. It measures approximately (22.9″ x 19.1″ – 58.2 x 48.5 cm).
