The map was first published in 1606 and this version appeared in Atlas Geographicke description of the Regions …. [Henry Hondius, 1636]. Embellished with a strapwork title cartouche in later color; the map extends from Gambia at the upper left to Gabon at the lower right. An insert is shown of the Island of St. Thomas. The map is rated Excellent [see our rating criteria on the Home page] and measures approximately (14.0″ x 19.5″ – 35 x 50 cm).
