The print was taken from the Complete System of Geography by Charles Middletons, 1778.  This particular print has been hand colored and depicts Columbus presenting the King of Spain the results of his exploits.  The image is from the publication by Middletons and was accompanied by detailed descriptions of the subjects.  The print is a copperplate engraving.  Rated Very Good [see our rating criteria on the Home Page] with some age toning noted near the left side of the print.  It measures approximately (9.3″ x 13. 8″  – 23.0 x 35.0 cm).
