In 1670 John Ogilby published his America, based on the work published by Arnoldus Montanus. This publication offered the most complete cartographic and illustrated record to date of the Americas. As the most accurate compendium available of the New World, many variations evolved of the work. This original print taken from the publication depicts a male and female Indian at work in the village. The print is rated Very Good [see our rating criteria on the Home Page] with Dutch verso text. The print measures approximately (8.1″ x 11.9″ w/text) accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
