20.04 - Plan of the Camp of Tarragona, ca 1745, by Nicholas Tindal, London
Depicted is the road to Barcelona, the road to Tortosa, and the towns of Valla, Constanina, Villa Secca, Cambrils, la Silva and others. Crosses are noted to indicate hills that are ‘impracticable for cavalry’. The ancient town of Tarragona is shown with large fortifications. The plan is complete with a very decorative cartouche and three nicely engraved masted ships in the harbour. The plan is rated Very Good with only normal age toning and measures approximately (18.0″ x 14.0″ – 45.8 x 35.6 cm) uncolored as issued.
